【摘要】:VOCsemittedfrommaterials/productsaffectindoorairquality(IAQ)inbuildings.TodeterminetheimpactoftheseemissionsonIAQ,itisnecessarytoknowtheiremissionratesovertime.Thispracticeprovidesguidelinesforusingafull-scaleenvironmentalchamberfortestinglargematerialsandfull-scalematerialsystems/assemblies.WhilethispracticeisdevelopedformeasuringVOCemissions,thechamberfacilitiesandmethodsofevaluationpresentedinthispracticearealsousefulforavarietyofpurposesincluding:(1)testingtheemissionsduringtheapplicationprocess(forexample,painting),orotherrelatedsources;(2)developingscaleupmethods(forexample,fromsmallchamberresultstoafull-scalescenario);(3)studyingtheinteractionbetweensourcesandsinks,andvalidatingsource/sinkmodelswhicharethebasisforIAQprediction;and(4)testinginteractionsbetweensourceemissionsandothercompoundsintheair(forexample,NOx,ozone,SOx).1.1Thispracticeisintendedfordeterminingvolatileorganiccompound(VOC)emissionsfrommaterialsandproducts(buildingmaterials,materialsystems,furniture,consumerproducts,etc.)andequipment(printers,photocopiers,aircleaners,etc.)underenvironmentalandproductusageconditionsthataretypicalofthosefoundinofficeandresidentialbuildings.1.2ThispracticeisforidentifyingVOCsemittedanddeterminingtheiremissionratesoveraperiodoftime.1.3Thispracticedescribesthedesign,construction,performanceevaluation,anduseoffull-scalechambersforVOCemissiontesting.1.4WhilethispracticeislimitedtothemeasurementofVOCemissions,manyofthegeneralprinciplesandprocedures(suchasmethodsforevaluatingthegeneralperformanceofthechambersystem)mayalsobeusefulforthedeterminationofotherchemicalemissions(forexample,ozone,nitrogendioxide).Determinationofaerosolandparticleemissionsisbeyondthescopeofthisdocument.
